Broadcast Media Monitoring
Broadcast monitoring is a method that tracks the output of broadcast media, including TV and Radio. By Using Speech To Text (STT) technology, broadcast monitoring can track mentions on a program of interest or track how often the TV/radio components of a program is aired.
How Broadcast Media Works
SPEECH TO TEXT TECHNOLOGY (STT)
At Novus Group, we have built our own Speech-to-text or STT technology which is the latest method used in TV media monitoring and Radio media monitoring. This type of monitoring identifies mentions on TV and Radio audio recordings converted to text.
Broadcast media monitoring services track references to brands or campaigns in the news and on actuality Programs, broadcast on TV and Radio stations.
Once the 2-minute audio files have passed through the 4 stages above, we receive a text file (of the 2-minute audio file) from the system. The file then gets processed through a separate system that searches for “keywords” or “search phrases” provided to us by our clients.
If there is a positive “keyword” or “search phrase” match, the file is sent to a Novus Group team that checks if the audio files are relevant. If the file proves to be relevant it is then sent to another that captures the file and uploads it to our system. The system then uploads the coverage to the client’s dashboards and email newsletters.
